Hi families! I hope you enjoyed yesterday evening if you were able to make it. Their poetry books and published poem will go home today for everyone to keep :) (I only took 1 photo of poetry night, so if anyone has any good pictures they are willing to share, please send my way!) Thank YOU ALL for being a group of supportive, amazing parents! This year has been so good and it is because of the kids & y'all. *Moon: Keep watching it nightly! (or checking online when you can't see it) **I sent home a Valentines information sheet that had every students name on it incase you are getting cards for the 14th! Let me know if it has been misplaced and I can send another. The students are to bring a decorated bag/box on the 14th so we can pass out cards in class. Thank you volunteers for purchasing goodies for the kids to enjoy that day! ***The annual read-a-thon is a valuable tradition at Cedar Creek Elementary. Students will be raising money for BookSpring, which buys books for students in need right here in Austin. Please look in your Thursday folder for the blue reading log and small white pledge envelope for specific details. You can also watch a video about why the BookSpring Read-A-Thon is so important on the library webpage (ccelibrary.weebly.com). Wishlist If you are able to provide any of the following items, please email me with which item and quantity, I will update the list. I really appreciate the help. The items are used to enhance our learning and make learning fun! I know the students appreciate it also.

They will write them, partition shapes, draw their own, etc. This is a two week unit. The goal is for them to identify halves, thirds, fourths, & eighths.
