Spring Break!! I hope you all have a wonderful WEEK off :) I can't wait to hear about your fun times, or relaxing days. I'm visiting Savannah, Georgia for the week, let me know if you know any secret gems there! *Walk to School Wednesday: Do we want to start walking together again? The kids said "YES!" Let me know if you would like to volunteer your front yard as our starting point! **Spring Break Homework: You do not have to do any work over spring break if you do not want too! If you do, in their Thursday folders I sent a M-F workbook! Use or Lose! ***Student Work: LOTS of student work went home yesterday and today! We did a little spring cleaning :) Wishlist If you are able to provide any of the following items, please email me with which item and quantity, I will update the list. I really appreciate the help. The items are used to enhance our learning and make learning fun! I know the students appreciate it also.
Upcoming Dates March 18-22: Spring Break Holiday! March 25: Gallery Greets March 29: STEAM DAY! (Ms. Jenkins Absent) STEAM Day Volunteers Needed Cedar Creek Auction (Click Here) Next Week.... (March 25-29) Reading: Students will find the main idea of a fiction or nonfiction book. They will find details from the text to prove it. Writing: Students will practice writing a piece that is centered around a main idea. Math: We begin our personal finance unit (Itty Bitty City!) which is all about money, what we can do with money, withdraw and deposit, loan and borrow, etc. We will pay the students Itty Bitty City bucks so the can start practicing saving money to accumulate for something they want to spend for! Social Studies: Itty Bitty city also goes over the social studies TEKS; producing and consuming, goods and services, wants and needs. Students will choose what good or service they want to provide and they will run a city in our classrooms! Technology: I have no major technology planned for this week. Students might use MotionMath for a finical literacy game about the cost to produce pizza and sell it. They might use them during FIT after book clubs for 1 or 2 days- during that time they could choose Epic! or XtraMath.
